no one likes bath time

...well, I do but Maestro sure doesn't. We give Maestro a weekly bath and as soon as carry him into the bathroom he knows what's going on. He tries to escape from our arms and then when he gets put into the bath tub he scurries to the swallow end of the tub and tries to get out. It's funny to us but he sure doesn't like it too much. Because of his two coats of fur he looks much different after his bath so I had to share as to how stinkin' cute he is. So here is Maestro before his bath- notice how big his neck and chest are-

He really is a little guy but his fur makes him look much bigger. So to show you how small he really is-here's Maestro during his bath-

So cute! Look at those back legs! They're like little sticks!
And here is our Maestro after he's all clean and feelin' softer than ever.

Notice how much smaller he looks after a bath? Especially his neck? He's so cute. I try to dry him off as much as I can before gets out of my grasp and runs off. After he does get away from me he tries to dry himself off and it's pretty funny. So this week I decided to lay a towel down for him and let him dry himself off. Here's the video of it if you want to see it. It's cute. He scratches at himself for a good ten minutes after he tries to get all dry. He's adorable and we're still lovin' every minute with him!

22 weeks = 5 months and 2 weeks

So I had my first ultrasound in Orem today. And even though it's not showing that I'm gaining any weight on the scale, the baby is doing great. He currently weighs 1 pound and 3 ounces. They did all the measurements and he's growing great. His heart was at 146 beats per minute. This was my favorite picture she took of him, a profile of his cute little face. He was moving so much and it took her some time to get this shot but when she did get it she was pretty excited. So overall, everything is great! I can't believe that while my stomach continues to get bigger that I am not gaining any weight, it's too weird. I'm waiting till I go to the Dr.'s and step on that scale and see the numbers catch up with me. Till then though I guess I'll continue to enjoy it. I'm loving my belly. He is moving a ton but I'm enjoying it. I no longer fit in half my shorts. I'm enjoying the cooler weather because my pants fit me a ton better than my shorts. Right now when I wear shorts it's sweat ones that have an elastic band-yikes. We're lovin' it though. Oh and still no name yet.

Progression

This post is called progression because that is exactly what has been going on at our house. Thanks to Rebecca, my older sister, I was able to go over to her house yesterday and scrapbook all day long! It was so great because I got seven layouts done, talk about getting off on the right foot.

We've also made a bit more progress on cleaning up the second bedroom. The bins we've been waiting for to arrive at Ikea finally came in and we were able to go get some. The desk is looking full and the room and closet is looking empty and clean! It's great. We'll be ready for our baby furniture in no time.
And our little Maestro is making mucho progress as well! Today he got another set of shots and so we decided that he was far enough long in the shots area that we could start taking him outside. It took him a couple of extra minutes to get him out of the doorway but once he was on the grass he was lovin' it!

It was so much fun to watch him jump around the grass, and trip on the grass too. His legs are so short that they are barely taller than the grass. He would run for a second and then trip and roll a bit but then get back up and start running and hoping through the grass again. It was so much fun for him.

I love this next picture because it shows exactly where Maestro climbs on me. He looks up at me and "reaches" up if you will. I pick him up and set him on my lap and then he starts to climb up onto my stomach and then onto my upper chest. He'll give me some kisses and then sit down just below my neck. It's so much fun. Earlier this evening he actually took a nap up there, it was so great. I love having a puppy!

He loves to play with a towel, it's so much because there's enough room for you to pull him around, for him to grab, etc. So this is Travis playing with Maestro from earlier today. If you notice his legs are off the ground in this shot. For some reason he loves to do this. When he has a really good grip he'll lay down and then put his legs behind him. If you continue to pull on the towel you can just drag him with his legs out behind him, it's hilarious! We're all big fans of playing with a towel.

FOUR!

Today we went to the driving range with Travis' sister, Jamie. It was a good time. I've discovered that when we finally have the money for Travis to get a set of golf clubs, I'd be happy with just one club-a number one driver (in the picture above). The fat head on this thing not only made a super cool sound when you hit the ball good and far, but it has a big head! So much fun. Oh, and cuz I had more hits with the club than any of the others. :) Next time you need something fun to do-I recommend going to the driving range, you'll have fun.

Young Love

My baby sister no longer seems like my baby sister anymore. All grown up, graduated from college, and now married. Yesterday she married Shawn in the Salt Lake Temple-too crazy. Luckily the rain didn't give us too much trouble but the wind is another story. At the end of the day though the bride looked beautiful and it was a day to be remembered. My sister is crazy about two things-chocolate and the color purple. Despite how untraditional she made sure to have these two things apart of her memorable day. Purple and green for her colors and of course-a chocolate wedding cake. And even though it's brown, it still looked beautiful.
My favorite part was after they each delicately gave each other a piece of the cake, the smacking of the fingers and the lips. I guess chocolate is sticky?...and they just couldn't get it off their fingers?....or maybe it's just that delicious and I really am missing out on something? Either way, they went on and on-

and on-

and on with the smacking of the fingers. I thought it was hilarious and was grateful that I was still taking pictures. :)

Congratulations Nicole! We sure do love you!

the beginning of many

I have finally got to the point where I can scrapbook! Finally! I quit early when we were in Cedar and felt guilty for doing so since I was so far behind. But once I started packing I blamed my lack of motivation on the move. But now that everything is out of boxes and I'm unemployed, there is plenty of motivation to go around. So when I'm not eating, sleeping, playing with Maestro, running errands, or anything else that I could be doing-I'm scrapbooking! It feels great too because I am so far behind! This page is from my 23rd birthday and as most of you know, I just celebrated my 26th birthday. Yikes! I am really looking forward to doing all-day crops with my sisters and scrapbooking instead of being employed!
