my life summed up in one photo

This was me trying to take a picture of myself, Cason, and Maestro. Who was I kidding? Like it was gonna turn out. Right as I pushed the button Cason tried to roll over and Maestro stood up to go for the camera, knocking me over. Oh well. Sure did give me a good laugh though!

adventures of babysitting

This weekend Travis and I babysat our niece and nephews this weekend and we had a good time.
For some reason these kids just gravitate towards my camera-and take some pretty funky pictures.

Oh the joys! Thanks for letting us watch your kids! We love them.

Dear Experience and More Knowledgeable Mothers-

Should this first thing in the morning when I go to wake up Cason make me concerned...or worried....or nervous?I can't decide. He is very capable of rolling over these days, right and left and from front to back...but I still couldn't help feel a bit worried after a long night of heavy sleep. What do you think? Any words of comfort and advice is greatly appreciated!

just cuz

Yesterday I dog sat for my friend for a couple of hours and because Maestro was being a bum and not playing she ended up all snuggled in my fleece blanket on the couch. I couldn't resist but to take her picture and post it because let's face it-she's just so sweet!

Peas Please

Cason is now 6 months! Can you believe it? Some days I feel like I just brought him home from the hospital and he's still so small. But then I get a reality check when I'm carrying him around! Can you believe he is 18 lbs! I took him to the Dr.s yesterday and he's in the 63%ile for weight and at 27.75 in. he's in the 88%ile for height. Looks like he's gonna be tall like his Daddy! To celebrate his birthday he rode in a grocery chart for the very first time! Exciting business, don't ya think? There was mostly a lot of leaning involvd- and I think his little body got tired which led to this-lots of tears. But then he got distracted-Thanks to light-weight and small objects, thank you spices-and of course his thumb-they're so portable.Overall I think it was a good experience-Happy half-birthday Cason!

This weekend we tried his first veggie-peas!! It was very exciting...not that you can tell by the look on his face-He mostly just loves to eat -just like his Daddy.
And here's a fun picture of Maestro, just because I love him so much!
For some reason that I totally love, he enjoys sitting in Cason's boppy, so cute!

I totally scored this awesome shot this afternoon-

Today Cason and I drove down to Nephi to meet up with Travis for lunch (on Thurday's he works at a clinic in Nephi). While waiting for the cooks to go out and kill our cow for our hamburgers (yes dramatization is needed-it took forever!) Cason got bored with the toy and pacifier I gave him. So bored in fact that he went for the tray. He just had to have our drinks (which thankfully we got when we ordered) and everything else he could get his hands on. So I figured, why not the tray? Is this kid ready for real food or what? So cute. I think I love this picture so much because it shows so much of Cason's personality. Or I guess what it really shows is how much trouble Cason is going to be when he gets a bit older. Can't wait! Happy Birthday Trav!

As of late-

I blogged a week ago but still feel like I've missed out on some fun posts that I've been meaning to do-especially when I uploaded all my pictures and found over a hundred photos (although most of you know that that is normal for me). So here's what we've been up to this past week (and they're not in any particular order)-

For some reason Maestro put himself in the corner one day. I have no idea but I couldn't stop laughing when he just continued to look at the wall, even when I calld to him. He's crazy.
The Dr. Travis worked for sold his practice and he now works with a new Dr., but he is still currently in Pain Management. Getting into his grove with a new Dr. and a new computer system is taking more time than he or I would like but we are incredibly grateful that he still has his job.
Travis and I had the privileage of going to a conference session this weekend-It was amazing.
Travis got me a tri-pod that you can wrap around pretty much anything. We put it around our lamp and sure enough-it works great! Cason wasn't as impressed with it as I was.
hanks to these two good friends-Kelsey and Derek, Travis and I had someone to celebrate my birthday with. We went to PF Changs for dinner (I had the honey shrimp, delish) and then to Classic for some rollerblading-we had a lot of fun.My amazing older sister helped me taste the rainbow by making this amazing cake! Love you Bec!
Maestro and his Yorke friend, Charlee, both had birthday's and we finally found a time to celebrate! Maestro is now a year old-Maestro and Charlee both hated the ballooos but Cason loved them-
These next two pictures show how much Cason is looking more and more like his Daddy-Wouldn't you agree?
Cason is still enjoying eating solids. The nursing hasn't gotten much better but he loves to eat rice cereal.
Cason and Maestro and found a new friendship that I'm sure only they understand-
Cason has resdiscovered his feet when I got him these soft shoes, since we've been going out on walks more to help keep his feet warm. Whenever he has them on and he's sitting he ignores anything else in front of them and tries to eat them. So cute.
My heart melted when I was the store and saw all the bazillion Easter dresses around! I obviously knew that these were not an option for Cason but when I saw this little outfit I could resist-The rest of the family couldn't resist either when it came to an Easter Party. He can't search for eggs but he can still search through a little basket! Thanks for everyone who got Cason something, he loves it all!

And there you have it. The weekly happenings of the Dimonds! Hope you all had a great Easter and a good week!
