Last week with Travis-

was absolutely heavenly! I have really missed having him around this week, well we all have really. Cason was spoiled with some much Daddy time! Going to the park, out to lunch, playing outside, wrestling, the list goes on and on...including learning how to eat pistachios-Who would have thought Cason would have been so interested in eating them. Although I'm pretty sure it's because Trav was eating them too and also probably because breaking something was involved-Cason has been doing really well with Myra. He loves to hold her! He's always watching over her like an awesome big brother-And likes to pretend to take naps with her-My Grandparents came to meet Myra and could not believe how small she was-We gave Myra her first bath, as you can tell she was not a fan-But she did seem to enjoy getting her hair washed. As soon as you touched her head she immediately calmed down-And the drier her hair went the more wild it went-I could not get this picture to go the right way but it's way too cute to not include because I actually got a picture of her smiling and it's just so adorable-Cason got sick. Woke up on Sunday with puke all over the floor and then puked again and again. So we all stayed home from church and had ourselves a movie day. Of course Cason kept all the necessities with him at all times: sippy cup, pillow, blanket, pot to puke in, and ALL of his dinosaurs-Myra is a pretty good little sleeper, infact it seems like that's all she does is sleep! I have a hard time getting her to open her eyes to play. She's also a good eater and seems to only cry when she's super hungry.
Let's hope it all keeps up!

We have a daughter!

She finally made it! We waited and waited for the phone call from the hospital saying that they had a room open and ready for us to come in so I could be induced. And let me tell you we waited and waited for that phone call! Friday went by and I was #12 on the list...we did not get to go in on Friday. Saturday we had high hopes and we took Cason to my parents and had our bags packed and ready to go. Saturday we waited and waited. When we felt like we couldn't wait any longer we'd call the hospital to see where we were on the list. My last phone call the nurse said, 'is this Camille Dimond'. I had called so much in the past two days that all the nurses knew my voice, name, and the situation. They had been so incredibly busy that they just didn't have room for me. At 5:30 on Saturday both Trav and I jumped out of our seats when my phone finally rang! They had a room with my name on it! We grabbed our bags and were off to the hospital. The drive to American Fork felt like an hour long! When we got to the hospital all the nurses saw us enter and said, 'You must be Camille Dimond'. Thankfully my constant phone calls didn't drive them so crazy that they were already irritated with me. So I got into a room, all ivy-ed up and was ready to go. I was a dialated to a four and was thinned at 80%-So we waited for a bit and once the contractions started coming on stronger I got the epidural and then we waited a bit longer. The labor was a total of maybe 4 hours. Once my Dr. had come back from delivering a baby at another hospital, I could start pushing. I pushed for about 7/8 minutes and there she was-Our beautiful baby. This time around I got to do skin-to-skin right when she came out and let me tell you, it was an amazing experience. I was always so bummed that I never got to do this with Cason (because he came out blue thanks to the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck). But with this sweet baby everything was perfect-She was 6lbs. 10oz. and 18.5 inches long. Big dark blue eyes with long, black hair. Like I said, completely perfect-Trav waited very patiently for his turn to hold her and then he just didn't want to let her go. While holding her he suddenly started calling her Myra. I was definitely okay with this (since it was the name I was leaning towards anyway). Myra Viola-Trav went with Myra and the nurses to clean give her a bath and the other necessary baby tests while I ate and was finished being taken care of. I waited in our new recovery room for Trav and Myra and when he brought her back, this is what she looked like. My beautiful daughter-We had some visitors from family and close friends. My parents brought Cason down and he enjoyed holding her. Even now as we're home every time he sees her he says 'hold her' and he holds his arms out for her-We are completely in love with her! She has us smitten and already wrapped around her little finger-Monday morning we were ready to come home and became a family of four! So exciting!

Playing the waiting game-

I am so ready (I know I don't look huge but I am still so ready)-

It's so hard to do, isn't it? Wait. Wait and wait and wait. A contraction here, a contraction there but nothing consistent. This sweet baby seems to be pretty cozy right where she is and doesn't seem like she wants to go anywhere any time soon. In the mean time I've been able to get her room all ready. We didn't want to paint or go out and buy too much so I just made a couple things for her room. Like this adorable rag wreath that turned out a bazillion times cuter than I thought it would-I can't wait to get pictures in all off these empty frames!Embroidered this, say's " you are my sunshine" with flowers-Scored this adorable purple sign-In the meantime it's been lots of playtime with Cason and trying to keep the house clean so that we'll be ready to go at any time. I got Cason a little table for his room so he can have somewhere to sit and play with his toys. I walk by and see him sitting at it playing all the time. Totally melts my heart every time-He loves it-This picture really has nothing to do with this post but it's adorable, isn't it? He fell asleep under his bed one afternoon, so cute-

Hopefully the next post will have pictures of our sweet little daughter!!

A recap of February

I'm just a little behind...mostly because I can hardly even believe it's March! Where did February go? February was a pretty easy breezy type of month for us. Not a whole lot going on. In fact some times it got too quiet! I would be getting ready or doing the dishes and couldn't hear Cason at all. I'd slowly sneak up to his door to peak in his room to see what he was up to and it was always this that I saw-He is loving his trains right now. He asks me to moves his blinds so he can play with them right along the window sill. I hardly bother putting his blinds down anymore he plays with them so often-I love it! He loves it, a total win-win. Thank you Thomas!Again, more trains but a different location. He'll sit on the counter, make a train, and have them travel around him-Under his legs, and around the other side. He'll do this over, and over, and over, and over again...We've been pulling out all of our baby stuff, clothes, toys, and other equipment, like the Bumbo-After getting in trouble for trying out the bouncer he tried the Bumbo. No yelling there so he stuck with it. For a week he'd sit in and play, sit in at the table even and eat, and even in front of the tv to watch a show, good thing we got it out before we actually needed it-
Here we go March, I think I'm finally ready-
