Last week I started packing! Lucky for me I have no job so I have all day to pack and clean and get all ready for our big move. I figured two weeks would be a sufficient amount of time to get everything done and so I started last week some time and have made a lot of progress-This would be day one. I focused on the second bedroom room which had mostly storage and my scrapbook stuff.
Day two, the basement, more storage stuff.
Day three, I managed to clean up the entire second bedroom and wrapped the furniture but had to leave the heavy boxes full of boxes and the like because I'm weak sauce and don't have the arm strength. But this room is now completely clean and ready to go.
This is what the kitchen looked like on day three. I started cleaning out as much as I could in the kitchen.
And this is day four. I started with the living room and put stuff that was laying around in boxes.
This is also part of day four...I think. I started cleaning the second bedroom and for those of you who have stayed in apartments probably know the normal routine of cleaning an apartment just before you check out. So I got the bucket and filled it with Lysol and started. Dusting the baseboards, have a nice ledge on them. I cleaned the walls, the light fixtures, vacuuming, cleaned the blinds and the windows. I didn't realize how dirty this place was. At a quick glance it's really nice but when I stopped and took a closer look it is really bad. For instance, check out these blinds. I don't know how good you can see it but if you look close you can see that the top four or so are much cleaner than the ones on the bottom. The top ones I had just cleaned, the bottoms ones are how they looked. It took me a good hour to clean just one set of blinds, and there are four of them upstairs. I checked out the ones on the main floor and they're not bad at all. I have no idea how these got so dirty but my back is killing me from cleaning them.
Yesterday when I was working I looked out the window and saw this. This morning I woke up and saw this-
SNOW! Lucky for me I can look at the snow and smile because I have nowhere to go so I don't have to drive in it, notice how my car is not cleaned off. Love it. Unfortunately though I cannot go for a walk in it because I already packed my snow boots and such. Major bummer! It's suppose to snow all day but tomorrow they're calling for sunshine and a high of 46! So the snow will probably stick around but that's okay. Although everyone needs to pray for nice weather across the country because that is when we head back to Utah.

The Battle at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
Last weekend we took the weekend off and headed out to Gettysburg and had such a good time. We went to the Gettysburg Museum and not only heard the whole story but saw a ton of cool stuff. These are only some of the type of guns that they used during the battle.
This they called it the knap sack and said it was the typical gear that the soliders would carry. It weight approximately 45 pounds and when I went to lift it it didn't move! I had to bend my knees and use my legs to lift this thing and even then as soon as Trav took the picture I dropped it with a sigh of relief! I would have been a miserable solider.
I thought this was pretty cool, it's an apron that a woman made and wore during the war. She made a star for each of the 34 states. Kinda cool.
After the museum we saw a film that talked all about the battle. We drove around to the battle fields and this is what they looked like-
Very green, grassy, large, and very open. Here is where the confederates and the union would stand in front of each other and just start shooting. Sounds silly to me but that's just how it was I guess. At the end of the museum it said that there were 51,000 soliders that were wounded, killed, captured, or missing which made it to be the bloodiest battle in the war!We drove to the observation tower and it was incredibly high. When we got to the top you could see over the trees and see the town, the battlefields, and everything else that was around us. It was cool- and really windy and pretty chilly, so I had to bundle up.The town was so quaint. Tall buildings right next to each other with trees lining the streets. There were resturants, shops, and we even came across a scrapbook store! This was a cool building that I really liked, it's an Episcpcal church.
And last but not least a picture of a monument. There are monuments everywhere! Monuments to regiments, to generals, to the states that were apart of the war, to everyone.
It as such a fun weekend to be with Travis again. He's gone during the week and so it was so fun to be with him all weekend long! Although Sunday came back around and we had to say goodbye all over again. But I'm not too worried cuz I know another Friday is going to come around. Everyone should visit Gettysburg one day, it's a wonderful experience.Posted by Camille at 7:50 PM 1 comments

I love having friends!
So tonight I actually had plans! I know, completely amazing. Jan, a former teacher I worked with, invited me and some other girls from work over to have a fire at her house. We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and mostly just had a great time. When everyone got their they were all talking about work and it felt so good to not be apart of the conversation. They were all voicing their opinion and I listened but I loved knowing that I wasn't apart of it. Tomorrow is going to be a rough day for them. Tomorrow for me is going to be another day of some exercise and whatever else I wanna do. I'm very happy about it. But anyway, it was a good night and everyone had a good time I think. I didn't have my camera with me but lucky my friend, Beccah did. So here are some pictures from tonight-
Jan, she's the the hostess. She is so much fun! I am really going to miss Jan.The fire, I just thought this pic turned out cool.
This is Beccah. She would put your mallows on the stick and just shove them in the fire. She'd give them about five seconds until they start flaming it, asked me to blow them out and was pretty happy with the results. She said burning them was the best because they came off in layers, reminded me of my brother, Brandon. He'd always say the same thing when his mallows ended up flaming. I thought he was just saying it as an excuse though because he ruined them by putting them too close to the flames. Who knew he really liked them burned!
And Pat. Pat is Jan's sister. I never worked with Pat, she works at a different site, but she sure is fun to hang out with. As you can probably tell pat just likes to kick back and do whatever. She's down with whatever. And she says it how it is. I love hanging out with Pat, she always makes me laugh till my sides hurt! I'm gonna miss Pat too.
And me and Beccah. It really is a shame that I'm not gonna be around a little longer to get to be with these girls more. The friendships I have developed are still so new that it's a shame that they can't grow more. Hopefully we'll all still keep in touch though so that the friendships can continue. It really has been a lot of though coming out here and meeting these great people. I really have enjoyed my time here.

Weekend in Seneca, PA
Wouldn't it be so much fun to live in a house like this? I know I would love it. Oh, and one more picture, there was a huge fountain in the middle of the festival that just looked cool. Danielle', Travis thought of you when he saw this fountain, he thought you would really like it-
We had a great time being able to see yet another area here in Pennsylvania. Travis will be in Seneca for five weeks! Well I guess now four. I miss him already. It's hard having him so far away but he does come home for the weekends which gives me something to look forward to every day. This weekend we are going to be going to Gettysburg, we're excited for that. But until then, just four more days until he comes home! :DPosted by Camille at 11:05 AM 1 comments

Pittsburgh Zoo
Okay people, let's try this again. So we went to the zoo a couple of weekends ago and saw a ton of animals! We tigers, lions, elephants, alligators, zebras, giraffes, flamingos, bears, sea lions, rhino, birds, all kinds of fish, monkeys, oh! And penguins!! Those were my favorite, mostly cuz I had never seen a penguin before...at least that I remember. So anyway, here are some pictures of of our adventures at the Pittsburgh Zoo-
This rhino was funny cuz there a mud puddle deal by this rock and he was playing it in. He was flop himself down in it and then wiggle his body in it as if to dig himself down deeper into it. Then he'd get up, which took him like two minutes to do. Then he'd walk back and forth through the puddle and then do it all over again. It was funny to watch. This was probably the highlight of his day this little mud puddle. He probably played in tat thing all day long!
The giraffe's, they're cool. They are cool, and to tall too. They're so tall! I would love to be that tall, you could see everything. I wonder if we look like little ants to them. Wonder if they ever wanna just step on us and squoosh us cuz all we do is stand there and stare at them.
These little monkeys were obviously boring cuz they were sleeping but they sure did look cute so I took their picture anyway. :)Can you see me? Hee, hee.
They had this big tank full of star fish, coral, and other cool fish like type of things and I thought it was so cool. I was amazed with this star fish that was hangin' on right to the front of the glass so I had to get up real close to see what it was like. It was so cool to see everything movin' in there. To actually think that something like is alive is just beyond me! God really knew what He was doing.
This is the last one I promise. I had to post this because of how crazy it is. When we got to these monkeys I thought it was so cool cuz this little guy was so close to us. I started taking his picture and then I thought, 'what is he doing?' And so I watched him closer and realized that he was peeling off the paint and eating it! I couldn't believe it. He had his little fingers up on the point and picking at it just as if I was picking at tape or something. It was unreal. If you watch it long enough and list you can hear a little girl behind us state how crazy. Even these little girls figured it out, this monkey is completely crazy!
Well that's all my friends. I don't care how old you are the zoo is cool! It was so fun seeing all the animals and see yet another thing here in Pennsylvania before we leave.

I'm a slacker!
I can't believe it's been over a month since I've done a post! Sheesh! I mean to do more posts. Every time I take pictures I think about posting them but then I guess time gets away from me. So, maybe I should play catch up. Did I tell you about the zoo? Travis and I went to the zoo a couple weekends ago. Pittsburgh Zoo, we saw a ton of animals and of course I took a picture of every single one. But I'll spare you all of them and just show you a couple-
Good puke it's not working! Why isn't it posting my picutes? BUMMER!! I'm so bummed that the pictures aren't working. Hm. I guess I'll try them tomorrow. In the mean time I'll update yo with what's goin' on. I am no longer working. I was really getting tired of the management where I was at so I put in my two weeks. Travis and I will be moving back to Cedar City in just five short weeks so I figured it wouldn't matter too much if I put my two weeks in a little early. So I'm kinda takin' the month of October off. So far so good. Travis is living about two or so hours west-ish I think, in a town called, Seneca. There he is doing is Pediatrics rotation and so far is really loving it. He's already helped with a delivery and C-section and got to feed a baby with FAS the other day. I'm hoping this rotation makes him as baby hungry as I am! That would be cool! Well I'll try pictures again tomorrow and hopefully have more luck. Have a good evening! I don't know about you but I'm watching Biggest Loser! Can't wait.
