this post is a week late

So I suppose I should write about the fourth. I had been putting it off all week just cuz I kept telling myself, 'nothing happened, it was a bust of a holiday, no one needs to hear about it.' But as I continue to think about it, it really was a great holiday. I didn't have to wake up to my alarm. I didn't have to go to work. I got to stay home and do whatever I wanted to do. So I decided to clean up my scrapbook room and work on some layouts to music that I haven't listened to in quite some time. I not only cleaned up and organized the room but I started and completed (the completed part is a big deal) two layouts! And they turned out great! When Travis got home he came in holding two boxes that I had been waiting to come in the mail all week! I have no idea how they got to me on the fourth but someone was thinking about me and I got my packages that day. After Travis and I talked for a bit and I asked him how his day went and such he didn't go down to the basement to study. Instead we got to really be with each other. Talk about whatever we wanted or not talk at all it didn't matter. What mattered was that we were together for the rest of the day. We literally just laid on the ground and chatted and just enjoyed the fact that we didn't have to be doing anything or be anywhere. It was great! We went out to dinner to Applebee's and enjoyed a lovely meal together. Then we went and saw the movie "Get Smart". And it was the perfect movie to go out and see together because it was so hilarious! We laughed together the whole movie. So we didn't get to see any family, we didn't go to any BBQ's and we saw no fireworks, which is exactly why I thought it was a bust of a holiday. But I did get to sleep in, work on my scrapbook, go out to a yummy dinner, see a movie, and I got to do it all with Travis. What more could I have asked for? So I guess I didn't need to put off telling you about our great holiday because we really enjoyed it. It was layed back and was definitely considered "a holiday."
