I'm a slacker!

I can't believe it's been over a month since I've done a post! Sheesh! I mean to do more posts. Every time I take pictures I think about posting them but then I guess time gets away from me. So, maybe I should play catch up. Did I tell you about the zoo? Travis and I went to the zoo a couple weekends ago. Pittsburgh Zoo, we saw a ton of animals and of course I took a picture of every single one. But I'll spare you all of them and just show you a couple-
Good puke it's not working! Why isn't it posting my picutes? BUMMER!! I'm so bummed that the pictures aren't working. Hm. I guess I'll try them tomorrow. In the mean time I'll update yo with what's goin' on. I am no longer working. I was really getting tired of the management where I was at so I put in my two weeks. Travis and I will be moving back to Cedar City in just five short weeks so I figured it wouldn't matter too much if I put my two weeks in a little early. So I'm kinda takin' the month of October off. So far so good. Travis is living about two or so hours west-ish I think, in a town called, Seneca. There he is doing is Pediatrics rotation and so far is really loving it. He's already helped with a delivery and C-section and got to feed a baby with FAS the other day. I'm hoping this rotation makes him as baby hungry as I am! That would be cool! Well I'll try pictures again tomorrow and hopefully have more luck. Have a good evening! I don't know about you but I'm watching Biggest Loser! Can't wait.

Ode to my family

Yesterday I scrapbooked my family pictures from 2005! I'm a little behind, I am very well aware of this but honestly, who is up to date on their scrapbook? Anyway, as I was scrapbooking these pictures I thought a lot about my family and how much I love and appreciate them. I know that if I ever needed them that they would be there for me. I know that no matter what would happen to me or to Travis that they would be there to help. I love my family so much and am so grateful for them. As I moved across the country to be here for Travis they have supported us the whole way. They have not forgotten about me either which has been wonderful to know. I miss them so much and am so happy to announce that I will be near them again soon. Very soon in fact. Which brings me to the next thing that I wanted to say-

Most of you knew that Travis was headed out to Utah in November to do some rotations there for school to hopefully get some job offers while he was there. I was planning on staying here in Pennsylvania to hold down the fort and work. But with recent events I have changed my mind. I don't want to stay so far away from Travis for six months so we have changed our plans and I will be moving back to Utah with Travis in just nine very short weeks! Hooray! :D I am very excited! I can't wait to be back in Utah! I can't wait to feel that dry heat again. I can't wait to be close to my family again. I can't wait to buy real birthday presents instead of gift cards. I can't wait to attend family home evenings and other small holidays with the family. I can't wait to see my neice and nephews again soon! It's gonna be great! So everyone that is in Utah make a space for me in your calendar cuz I would love to visit. I miss everyone. It's gonna be so great to be back!

Havre de Grace, Maryland

Travis and I had the pleasure of visiting with the Nate, Stephanie, and Abby Littlefield this past weekend. We had so much fun! They took us out to the bay area and the little town and just walked around and enjoyed the scenery. We even saw a lighthouse, which is the longest continously running lighthouse in the whole Unite States! Who knew.

We also stopped at the beach, but I forgot my suit so we just stopped for a picture. For those of you that can't see it look on the bottom left side of this pic. :)
We checked out town area with all of the little shops and stuff. Steph and I talked about dreaming of having real furniture that matched as well as bedding...one day. And when we saw these fashionable hats we had to try them on.
We ate ice cream, chocolate, had a lovely lunch, watched a movie, hung out and chatted some more and then went out and played some video games. Needless the say, the boys had fun.
But this cutie-pootie had me baby hungry! She was so cute. This is Abby, Nate and Stephanie's 17-month old daughter and she was adorable. She is a talker and we kept trying to her to say mine and Travis' name. When she finally did say them they came out as "ras" and "moe", it was so cute. Every time she said or did something it made me say, 'ah...how cute!' and kept me thinking that I wanted of my very own! *sigh* One day people, one day I'll be doing posts of my own kids, until then other people's kids will have to do!
We had a great time with the Littlefields. It was so much fun to hang out with them while were both back east for the short time periods that we were here. Hopefully we'll get a chance to see them in Utah. Thanks again Littlefields! We had a great time!

Our weekend

I decided instead of waiting a couple of weeks to tell you about our weekend that I'd just do it now. So this weekend we went and saw Journey to the Center of the Earth, and did you know it's a 3D movie? I had no idea. When we got our tickets the guy also handed us two pairs of these extremely good looking glasses (as I'm sure you can see). And because I didn't know that I'd be wearing glasses I wore my glasses. Lucky for me they were big glasses and fit right over my glasses. So this is how I ended up sitting watching the entire movie. Very good movie too by the way. A good family movie.
On Saturday we went to a birthday party for a family in our ward. It was practically the whole families birthday so they celebrated with one big party at a state park.
As you can see we both had a very good time. We played on the playground, threw around the frisbee, had cake, and the whole time we got to spend time together so we enjoyed ourselves. The day was sunny and incredibly warm. And the kids were all in pretty good moods too.

We enjoyed the rest of our weekend just by spending time together. I love it when Travis comes home. I look forward to it all week! But then every Sunday he leaves and it's sad and yesterday was no different. It stunk. But Monday is practically over which means that there are only a couple more days left until I get to see him again. Can't wait! I miss you Trav!

Welcome to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania!

So I really should have done this post weeks ago but just never did and I don't want to skip it so we'll just back track. A couple of weekends ago I went out to Pittsburgh to visit Travis (he is staying out there for his surgery rotation). We hadd so much fun together. It had only been five days since we hadseen each other but it seemed much longer than that. We were able to do some shopping, go out to a well-known restaurant there, we went up the incline, out for ice cream, and spent the entire weekend together! I loved every moment of it.

This is the well-known restaurant we went to in downtown Pittsburgh.

This is what they are known for, they're sandwhiches! On them they have fries and coleslaw. When I got it I thought, 'oh, man, this has potentional to be gross', and then I took a bite, and oh, so good. I highly recommend this place for anyone who visits Pittsburgh.

Travis enjoyed it too!

This is the incline.
This is us going up the incline.
Us, together, at the top of the incline, overlooking Pittsburgh.
And this is the awesome family that Travis has been staying with in Pittsburgh-Phil, Brynne, and Mia. Such a cute and wonderful family. We are so grateful for all of the wonderful things that they have done for us to help us out! It was such a great weekend! I love you Travis, and I miss you already. Oh! And Travis is loving his surgery rotation and as it turns out he's pretty good at it too. One of the doctors want him to come work for him! Go Travis!
