Off we go

Tomorrow we are headed to Salt Lake where Travis will have his second interview with a Pain Management Dr. in Orem. We are...or I guess I should I say, I am very excited about this. Travis is more nervous than excited. He's going to work with the Dr. for a half of a day and if he likes it and if the Dr. likes him, then he'll get and take the job. If he gets the job then we're going to start looking around for apartments or possibly houses for rent. We'll see how it goes. I'm excited to figure out what we'll finally be doing and really looking forward to getting out of the limbo stage! Hooray! So everyone keep us in your prayers and thoughts on Tuesday (the big day)!

For he's a jolly good fellow....

For he's a jolly good fellow, for he's a jolly good fellow...which nobody can deny! Now aren't you glad you couldn't actually hear me singing. :) Last week Trav and I flew across many states of our great nation to Pennsylvania where Travis finished up his last couple of tests for his PA program at St. Francis University. Can you even believe it has been two years? Travis is finished! We went to a dinner where they all got to celebrate being done. It was so great being in Pennsylvania one last time and being able to see everyone again. We are truly going to miss Pennsylvania and all of the friendships that we made there. It was such a great experience that we wouldn't trade for the world.

While we were there we were able to catch up with Travis' older brother, Clint. He was there for a business thing. We found it so ironic that we weren't able to see any of his family while we were there for a year and a half but while we were there for four days, some how it work out.
And we can't have new people right in Pittsburgh without taking them to the most delicious sandwhich place in the probably the world, Primanti Bros. Too great. If you're ever in the Pittsburgh area, we highly recommend this restaurant. Clint had no trouble eating this humungous sandwhich with two dozen wings. (Danielle', you must be proud. :) )

For months I have been planning Travis' graduation present and I have been wanting to give it to him for weeks! I wrapped part of it.
He was rather confused when he opened it and saw 3 Guitar Hero games. He looked at me and said, "Honey, we don't have a play station (long pause) or do we?"
SURPRISE! I pulled out our new Play Station 2 with two Guitar Hero guitar's. He was too excited and absoutely speechless. He couldn't believe that he finally had the video game that he's been wanting for years now. All it took was a master's degree, right? :) Congrats Trav, you totally deserve it.

The guitar stance and the look of concentration-he takes his music very seriously.

As you can clearly see here-

Love you Trav

Time to cheer people!

It's true, some of you have probably already heard, some of you might be expecting it, some of you might have figured it out, and some of you might have no clue what I'm talking about. Let me fill you in-

We're pregnant!! Hooray! It took two weeks for that second line to show up but we couldn't be happier. I've been patiently waiting for Travis to get in a place in his life where he feels ready for this step and now that graduation is around the corner he gave me the green light. We have been so blessed and are so incredibly grateful for this opportunity that the Lord has given us. We found out in February and at the time Travis was working with an obgyn so I was able to get lots of free ultrasounds! It was wonderful. My first ultrasound the baby was a dot. Really, just a tiny dot. The second one the baby looked more like a gummy bear. But the most recent one we had done the baby actually looked like a baby.

This ultrasound was taken at nine weeks and it is so precious. The heart rate was wonderful to hear. It made me actually feel like there is something inside of me growing. It was at 166 beats per minute. This is me now. I am 13 weeks pregnant and couldn't be feeling better. I am one of the lucky pregnant women that hasn't gotten any morning sickness, nausea, or had throwing up. Trust me, I am grateful for this consdering I was working during my first trimester. But today is a new day and not only I am no longer working (:D) but I am now in my second trimester! I can definitely tell I have a belly. I put on a button up shirt yesterday and the button by my stomach looked like it was ready to pop. I put all of those shirts away so I won't have to look at them anymore. We have no idea what we're having yet-we won't know until the beginning of June! We are not partial to having a boy or a girl. We have a bunch of names for both and would be extremely excited for either. But we are definitely excited to find out! Can you believe it?? I'm pregnant! I love that our time to start a family has finally come. We have been married for three years, Trav is graduating, and I am never going to work again. I love it! Life is great. Oh, and everyone that reads this better comment about how excited they are for us!! I wanna see and hear cheers and jumps for joy people! :) Oh, we're due October 19.

a year wiser

It is so much fun for Trav and I have to have our birthdays so close together. We get to take each other out and celebrate another year for each of us. We get to open a gifts together...so really it's like a small Christmas all over again. I love it! This year we went to Olive Garden and finally got to see Taken, a movie we've both been wanting to see since it came out. We highly recommend it too!
We realized half way into our pie that we didn't sing Happy Birthday or blow out candles! Mom jumped out and got a candle for both of us and since we were eating pie, we stuck it in our ice cream. Too funny. Happy Birthday my love!

When ribbon comes in handy

So what do you do when you have to wrap a birthday gift and have no birthday paper? I had a couple of plain brown bags but they looked super boring. But I had white, shiny wedding paper and thought, why not? Then I wrapped it I realized it was probably worse than the plain brown bag. I was just about to unwrap it myself and then I looked over and saw all of my ribbon. Perfect. So I covered the whole thing in curly ribbon and ta-da!
This is Travis' birthday present! Festive, isn't it? I think it's fun. This weekend we will be celebrating our birthdays and I am very excited about it! I can't wait to see him and I can't wait to go out and have some fun. I have no idea what we'll be doing but either way it will be fun to be out with Travis. I can't wait till this five week of "separation", we'll call it, is over! Just a couple weeks left and then I can live with the man I married. Yay! :)
